Monk will give you survivibality, but then again there are some ele spells that will heal you a bit so mesmer should be fine too. What you need the most if you intend to make survivor is to stay out of the way as much as possible. Ping the target, let the H&H take the aggro and damage for you, then attack.

Yup, hes a lvl 6 atm in nf, hes doing that, but I needed 2nd pro. I think I'm gonna do nightfall for a while, but then when Hunted! comes up, I'll go to my Tyria and beat the doppel Thanks, I may just go with Monk, since I know a 1 min farm that gets you 2.2k and you need monk profession

Ether feast is pretty good self-heal if you go mes, restful breeze is a great kiting heal if you go monk (+10 regen for like 8 secs at hardly any points in healing prayers).

I went with Monk for my Survivor Ele. Not for regen purposes but for the Protective Spirit spell to counter boss spikes. Like certain elementalist bosses I was capping skills from. However just keep in mind your secondary profession won't be the only thing keeping you alive. Stay out of aggro and pull with a longbow. Let your Heroes and Henchies take the aggro and damage, if it gets too overwhelming back off from the fight. Don't rush it and take a moment to see how the enemy group is moving, is it cross patroling with another group that could accidentaly get aggroed and such.
Good luck ~ Luna |
